Disabled Facilities
Here at H.G.Wells Conference & Events Centre we are dedicated to providing the highest quality service to all our delegates. To ensure that we achieve this, we offer disabled access throughout the building.
Access
- Wheelchair users gain access by entering the Victoria Way Car Park at ground level, taking the lift up to the fourth floor and then going accross the link bridge which leads into the reception area.
Facilities
- All public areas are accessible for wheelchair users.
- Elevators serve all floors, they have lowered button panels, speech and visual indicators, wide doors for wheelchair access and mirrors to aid reversing.
- Stairs between all floors have handrails on both sides and are well lit.
- An Induction Loop is located in the Wells Room. In all other Rooms we can supply a portable Induction Loop. An Infrared system to assist delegates with a hearing impairment is available.
- All Conference Rooms are flat-floored and without fixed seating.
- Specially adapted toilets are available on each level of H.G.Wells and are fitted with a functional emergency alarm.
