Engagement Parties at H.G. Wells Conference & Events Centre

If you are looking for the perfect venue to hold your engagement party, H.G. Wells Conference & Events Centre has everything you need. We have a choice of stunning spaces that can be themed as you wish; a great location – right in the centre of Woking; delicious in-house catering; a great PA system and an experienced, friendly event management team with a personal touch.

Your engagement celebration can be as formal or informal as you wish; in fact you have complete flexibility to create the party of your dreams. Special theme and decorations, 3-course dinner with wine waiters, buffet, Champagne cocktails, DJ and dance floor, live band or entertainers… whatever you wish, just talk to your Event Planner.

We know how special an engagement is, so we will do everything we can to make yours extra-special, we'll even treat you to a bottle of Champagne or a surprise gift on the day.

Kemp Room
The Kemp Room has a contemporary, boutique feel and is our most popular room for engagement celebrations. It has an elegant bar and there is plenty of room for up to 120 for a formal sit-down dinner or up to 180 for a buffet.

Griffin Room
The Griffin Room has a cosy, lounge bar feel and is perfect for more intimate engagement parties. There is room for up to 150 people for a buffet, or up to 70 for a formal sit-down dinner. The Griffin room is also ideal for pre-party drinks if you are holding the main party in either the Kemp or Wells rooms.

Wells Room
The Wells Room has high ceilings, a stage, dance floor, bar and stunning lighting effects. If you are planning a gathering on a larger scale, the Wells Room has room for up to 250 people to enjoy a sit down dinner.

Please note, all of our engagement parties have exclusive room usage and minimum numbers apply.

Catering
Our experienced, in-house catering team offer an inspiring range of menus for your engagement party; from finger buffets and canapés to three-course dinners; with options to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.

Wherever possible, we use locally sourced, seasonal produce from carefully selected suppliers. Our chefs are passionate about delivering delicious and stylish dining and can advise on food and wine matching. If you have any special requests, just talk to your Event Manager – we'll always do our best to help.
