The perfect fashion show venue needs space, style, glamour, great atmosphere, superb organisation and a certain extra special something that only experience can bring. H.G. Wells Conference & Events Centre has all this and more. Charity fashion shows, college fashion shows, new season launches… this is a truly spectacular setting to showcase your fashion collection.

Our elegant, versatile spaces are perfect for creating fashion shows with the 'wow' factor, and there is all the room you need for guests, buyers, designers, and media to mingle before and after the main event. And with complimentary Wi-Fi in every room, they'll be able to share the buzz via social media.

Wells Room
At 472m², the Wells Room makes an impressive setting for the main catwalk. It can comfortably accommodate an audience of up to 500 in traditional theatre-style seating or up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and catwalk show. This stunning space features a full, integral lighting rig, special effects, wall projection screens, 3 on-stage screens to be used as a backdrop, full state-of-the-art PA system, changing rooms and a bar for your guests. Everything you need to put on a breath-taking, super-chic event.

Other room options
Kemp Room – can be used for a catwalk show for smaller audiences of up to 150 in traditional theatre-style seating or up to 80 people for a sit-down dinner and catwalk show.
This elegant room features an integral lighting rig, special effects, 1 on-stage screen, full PA system and bar. Changing rooms are conveniently located close by. If used as part of a larger event, the Kemp Room can be utilised for changing or as a VIP area.

Griffin Room – with its own atmospheric lighting and relaxed décor, this room makes the perfect audience bar, with capacity for up to 200 guests.
The Elphinstone, Henderson and Ogilvy Rooms can all be used as additional changing rooms.

Organising the perfect fashion show
Our professional events team will work with you at every stage to ensure the success of your event. You will be assigned a dedicated Event Manager and Assistant Event Manager who will personally see to every possible detail of the design and management of your fashion show. From lighting to catering, guest registration to decoration, they will look after everything and will be available to confer with at all times.

Catering
From VIP Champagne receptions and canapés to full three-course meals and finger buffets, our in-house team can design the perfect menu for your event. You can choose from a delicious range of meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan options and wherever possible, we use locally sourced, seasonal produce from carefully selected suppliers. If you have any special requests, just talk to your Event Manager.
