The Annual Woking Mayor’s Civic Ball held at the HG Wells Conference & Event Centre on Saturday 05th March 2016 proved to be a very nostalgic occasion on the 150th Anniversary celebrating the life and works of our greatest novelists HG Wells.

The Ball was a glittering venue with over 257 distinguished guests from adjoining local Borough Councils, prominent Businesses, Sporting Associations, and Ethnic Communities all under the roof of the Wells Room to join together in the celebrations.

There were an array of different sequences to this year’s event with a photo booth to capture the guests on arrival proceeded by a drinks Reception in the Griffin Room. All the exciting aspects of the evening were co-ordinated by our Toastmaster to include a Grand raffle Draw, raising a substantial amount of funds being donated to local charities, plus an amazing auction all generating an amazing atmosphere of celebration and enjoyment. Each table was dusted with a beautiful fresh flower arrangements’, candles glowed along with all the guests.

Entertainment was provided by the incredible dance troop “Celtic Feet” which was totally spell binding making out guests all eager to take up “tap dancing”!!

The evening was completed with our resident DJ providing a blast down memory lane for all the Civic guests. Ensuring one of the most perfect nights to remember by all, for 2016.
