On Thursday 11th January H G Wells hosted a meeting for the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner.

Delegates arrived from 9:15am for tea, coffee and biscuits served in the Griffin Room, which is conveniently located on the first floor and directly adjacent to the Wells Room; where the meeting was being held.  The Griffin Room is modern, spacious and comfortable and carpeted throughout with a warm décor.  The walls are adorned with interesting, contemporary art depicting scenes of the War of the Worlds,  (the famous fictional novel written by H G Wells, and set locally in Horsell & Woking).

After the welcome refreshments, the meeting continued with presentations and speeches.   The presenters had full use of our state of the art AV equipment and lighting rig; all included in the room hire package.

The Wells Room has a large and extensive in-house AV provision, including a central main screen for presentations and smaller side screens. There are also four projection screens to enable a clear view of conference content  from anywhere in the room. Lectern, handheld or lapel microphones are available, depending on speaker preference.

We also supplied a hearing loop for a hearing impaired delegate, and a wheelchair user found our ground floor facilities perfect as she didn’t need to worry about stairs.

The delegates had a sandwich lunch, (freshly prepared on site).  All our food is clearly labelled, with any allergen information.  When booking the organiser had a choice of six fillings from an extensive range of fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options, all prepared with white and wholemeal bread.   We can also offer gluten free bread.  Also included with the sandwich lunch was a healthy selection of fruit.

The Wells Room was set up in a Cabaret Style and comfortably accommodating 17 tables of 8 delegates.  In fact the Wells Room can easily seat 200 people Cabaret Style and 600 Theatre Style, making it one of the largest meeting room spaces in Surrey.
