If you are planning a conference in the future, you might like to read about a conference that Plan International held at H. G. Wells this year. 

Included in all standard conference hires are an Event Planner and Event Manager, (who are committed to ensuring the smooth running and success of your conference from start to finish.)  All conferences have full use of lighting schemes, AV, complimentary Wi-Fi and delegate stationery.  H. G. Wells also has plenty of NCP parking literally on the doorstep, and is also just a short walk from Woking Railway Station.  

On Thursday 18th January, Plan International held a conference at H. G. Wells for 245 delegates.  Plan International is a global federation that is active in over 70 countries around the world.  They have offices in Woking and therefore our Conference Centre is the ideal venue for their regular meetings, training events and conferences.  Their strategy is to work with vulnerable children, especially girls, and their ambition is to transform the lives of 100 million girls worldwide. We are proud to host and support charities such as Plan International for all their event requirements.  

The organisers were given access to the Wells Room the day before to prepare their presentation; our experienced and enthusiastic team set up the Wells Room in dinner style with 24 round tables of 10 for the conference.   The Wells room can comfortably accommodate this number; in fact we can accommodate 300 delegates in dinner style or 600 in theatre style.   Each delegate place setting had branded stationery: a blotter, pad and pen, and all tables were set with complimentary bottled still and sparkling water and sweets.   The Kemp and Griffin Rooms were set up separately for lunch and refreshment breaks.   

A registration desk was available for delegates to register on arrival before tea, coffee and biscuits were served.  The conference then began in the Wells Room. The Wells room is equipped with a comprehensive sound system which gives superb sound for conferences and all types of events.  Plan International had full use of a lectern with microphone, hand held microphones, projector, screen, laptop, staging for the presenters and wall screens displaying their logo, all included in the room hire package. 

Lunch was a tempting selection of sandwiches on white and wholemeal breads (all clearly labelled) with a choices of vegetarian, meats and fish, and fresh fruit, all freshly prepared on site by our team of talented chefs.  We also provided separately gluten and dairy free options for five delegates.  In fact, all dietary requirements can be catered for including vegetarian, vegan, halal and kosher if requested in advance.   Lunch was served separately in the Griffin and Kemp rooms to give delegates plenty of space to sit and relax while eating.  Sandwiches, wraps and fruit are a very popular lunch choice, but for those wishing to offer something more formal or substantial, we can offer an inspiring range of menu options to tempt your taste buds including: business breakfasts, a choice of buffets, or even a three course lunch or dinner.
