Case Study: Eagle Radio Biz Awards 2019

3 Course Evening Meal

On the evening of Thursday 9th May, H G Wells were delighted to host another “Biz Awards” Evening; sponsored by Eagle Radio (Surrey and North East Hampshire’s local radio station).

The awards were to local businesses and individuals covering ten awards such as;Business of the Year, Employee of the Year, A Green Award,

Eagle Radio staff had early access on the day for rehearsals and sound checks.  They had full use of our extensive AV equipment in The Wells Room with a stage, fully stocked bar, sophisticated lighting rig, and powerful sound system with lectern, and microphones, plus projectors and screens for their logo & presentations.

On arrival the guests were offered a welcome glass of Prosecco or orange juice in the Griffin Room, before moving through to the Wells Room for a delicious three course dinner including wine. 

The meal was prepared by our in house catering team; Tremblays, led by Head Chef, Steve Tremblay, who has an international career opening 5 star hotels around the world, also working alongside celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsey, before joining Pennyhill Park at the Latymer Restaurant, where the team achieved 4 rosettes.  

Dietary requirements, including gluten free requests, vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian were all catered for.

James Walsh singer/songwriter played an acoustic guitarist set before the meal began and there was also a magic act going around the tables during the dinner service.

Eagle staff used the registration desk to welcoming attendees.  The reception screen displayed information, tables set beautifully with candelabras.  Soft lighting completed the celebratory atmosphere.
