Article: Woking Means Business 2019

Established for over fifteen years, Woking Means Business is one of the longest running local business shows in the whole region.

Located in the heart of Woking, H G Wells offers over 900m² of exhibition space across two floors, making us one of the largest exhibition venues in Surrey. Our versatile venue is ideal for events such as this, as our different room combinations allow delegates to attend a choice of seminars in the Kemp Room, whilst at the same time others could visit the exhibitors’ stands in the main Wells Room.

The event was attended by everyone who is anyone in the town ...Council leaders, business leaders, charities and many others. The atmosphere was friendly, infectious and the networking fantastic.

Over 50 Exhibitors on 130 stands, displayed a wide range of local services promoting everything from cars, gyms, hotels, food and wine to printers, florists, promotional merchandise and accountants Also Woking Football Club and Woking Hospice had stands. Exhibitors were able to generate new leads, meet hundreds of people they wouldn’t have met otherwise and make contact with other exhibitors who could become an excellent source of business directly or via partnerships, joint ventures or dealerships.

The Council’s Pre-Show Breakfast Forum was of great interest to Woking residents, with the Regeneration Project well underway and major changes to roads, shops and offices all affected.    In addition to the Breakfast Forum in the Kemp Room there were three other FREE seminars: How to Become an Exceptional Manager & Leader, How to make the most of your Marketing Online, and Win Easier in your Business – Top Tips from Mr Productivity. The seminars were excellent, informative, sometimes inspiring and always of value.

All exhibitors were provided with a shell scheme stand, complete with 2.44m (8ft) high walls, covered in a light grey fabric to place display material on, plus a blue fascia with white panel name board and stand number and a 5ft florescent light behind the fascia.  Exhibitors displayed a wide range of fascinating and useful products and services designed to help you or your business.

Many thanks to you and all the team at HGW for helping us deliver another highly successful show.

Everything went smoothly, the Council Breakfast was a great success and the exhibitors gave us some great feedback.
